With fines of up to $700,000 per incident, healthcare companies that don't enforce employee vaccine mandates risk serious consequences. Beginning in December, non-compliant workers will have to quit or be terminated, possibly leaving your contact center short staffed during a notoriously difficult time of year for hiring.
Everise will ensure that when your patients call, someone is there to answer.
In June of 2021, OSHA issued a temporary emergency rule declaring Covid-19 exposure a workplace hazard and requiring healthcare workers be provided protection, through the use of PPE, barriers, etc., or risk being fined.
In September of 2021, the definition of a dangerous workplace was expanded to include unvaccinated employees, and the fines for violation increased tenfold.
Enforcement of this new rule is likely to begin in December of 2021.
The rules apply to workplaces with over 100 employees in the same location, meaning remote workers are exempted.
